Hydrofunk Records are excited to announce the new release for THE BOY OF MANY COLORS, with his latest single ‘’Do It For’ available on all digital platforms Here on Monday September 6. ‘Do it for’ is a display of some of the lighter shades ofTHE BOY OF MANY COLORS and is a celebration of the mob who surround him and support him.  

‘As a man of the people this is a track dedicated to them.’  One love, one mob, one time.

The companion video is produced by Byron Bay based Indigenous creative team Onetime productions and Coedie not only features in ’Do It For’ but he also handles the direction, editing and drone work for the clip. 

‘Do it for’ is the follow-up single to ‘When a Tree Falls’ Feat. Emily Wurramara which was released to critical acclaim earlier this year. Coinciding with the release THE BOY OF MANY COLORS claimed artist of the week on triple j’s Unearthed and reached top 10 on the Unearthed charts. His talents as a rapper, producer, dancer, and visual designer also saw him handpicked by Nick Littlemore to participate in a song writing session as part of the first ever Collab Comp.

‘The Boy Of Many Colors takes me to places I know I want to go’ the Pnau and Empire Of The Sun front man explained. ‘I love that he is a multidisciplinary artist, I feel like we can make something that will make you move and cut to the heart.’

THE BOY OF MANY COLORS has also been nominated at the International Multicultural Film Festival for the ‘All The Same’video.  The first annual event of IMFF is open to short and feature films including drama, documentary, music clips and animation. Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on September 11.

THE BOY OF MANY COLORS (Coedie McCarthy) is an artist, musician, filmmaker, songwriter, producer, traditional and modern dancer, and is also a founding member, vocalist and Didgeridoo player with Byron Bay based 4-peice Indigenoise. A multi-talented visionary who is pushing boundaries, his quest is to bring the old ways of his ancestors into the new age.
