Released today, Bklava delivers a 20th Anniversary remix of Holly Valance’s global smash hit single ‘Kiss Kiss’.

Prolific UK DJ and producer Bklava (aka Lara Sweeney) takes the classic single back to its roots, with an energetic re-rub that builds from the track’s Eastern-inspired riff to create a shape-shifting remix bouncing between elements of House, Moombahton and Garage – all set to create a summer-ready dance smash.

Rising to fame in the UK and Australia as Felicity ‘Flick’ Scully in Neighbours, Holly Valance first stormed charts worldwide in 2002 with her debut single, ‘Kiss Kiss’. A reworking of Şımarık from Turkish star Turken, Holly’s English language version came with bigger beats and heavier production. The hook-laden track and its accompanying Video made Holly a household name, reaching Number 1 in the charts in the UK and her native Australia, and a top 20 the world over.

That memorable video is re-imagined for Bklava’s remix by digital artist Michael Renassia in this psychedelic take on the original.

Championed by Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra, South London born Bklava is embedded in the Brighton and London underground club scenes. Deftly switching from singer to producer to remixer, she leans into the Lebanese dance-pop of childhood family parties and fuses it with a futuristic blend of UKG, house and electro-pop.
