Australian Hip Hop act INDIGENOISE are excited to release their brand-new single ‘Shrap’ through Hydrofunk Records on Tuesday September 24.
Lifted from the bands forthcoming second album due for release early 2020, the track was recorded at Hydrofunk HQ and produced by band member Coedie McCarthy and is the follow up single to their June release ‘Spirit Has No Colour’.
Musically Indigenoise has given you serious, spiritual and deep but now just for one minute, it’s time to bless your ears with a bouncy, beastly vibe. With all 4 band members contributing to the vocals, ‘Shrap’ is an exploration of fun and cheek intertwined with the edge and flavour of each individuals character.
‘Shrap is feeling the shrapnel of the bass sing through you…. and the vibration of its playful rhymes penetrating the excitement bubbling from within.’
Filmed in and around their hometown Byron Bay including their performance on the world stage at Splendour In The Grass 2019, INDIGENOISE have also released the companion video for ‘Shrap’.
Based in Byron Bay, INDIGENOISE are a clique of poets, artists, producers, musicians and practitioners. The four-piece featuring Coedie McCarthy, Roslyn Barnett, Jannali Doncaster and Benjamin Robinson, all carry mixed ancestry, and alchemise a powerful voice of ancient and contemporary culture.
