Sometimes you get stuck in a cycle. It could be a short time, it could be long – it may even last forever. You might see a way out, if you’re lucky, a crack in the door, but you’re not always able to step through it. When life's like this, sometimes just surviving is all you can do.

“A while back I met a local in a small country town. We got talking. It became clear that they were struggling and keen to leave that town, but due to circumstance, it was going to be difficult. I grew up in country Victoria and this story reminded me of some people I knew back then.”

‘Eighteen Year Old Drunken Survivor’ is the fourth single to come from Kit's debut album ‘Colour Wheel’.  It’s a 50's rock n roll ballad telling a heartbreaker of a tale wrapped up in a bittersweet pop song. Co-written with friends Stevie Hesketh and Angus Agars, this is a story about an ordinary person, existing within a life that’s near impossible to change.
