The newest signing for Hydrofunk Records, Indigenous Australian Hip Hop act INDIGENOISE, are excited to share their debut single ‘Wildfire’.
Based in Byron Bay, INDIGENOISE are a clique of Indigenous poets, artists, producers, musicians and practitioners. The five-piece featuring Coedie McCarthy, Minjarrah Jarrett, Roslyn Barnett, Jannali Doncaster and Benjamin Robinson, all who carry mixed ancestry, represent the 4 nations of the earth: red, black, yellow and white people. Produced by Coedie McCarthy and recorded at Hydrofunk HQ in Byron Bay, ‘Wildfire’ brings the ancient wisdom of the old ways into the new age, drawing a raw and organic imprint of Hip Hop together with inspired conscious lyrics.
Reaching #1 on the Triple J unearthed Electronic and Hip Hop charts, and an impressive #4 on the overall Chart days after it was uploaded in July, ‘Wildfire’ will be officially released on Friday October 6 through Hydrofunk Records. Listen to ‘Wildfire’ HERE
The companion video for ‘Wildfire’ was conceived by the band, filmed in and around Byron Bay, and shot, directed and edited by Jeremy Filmsmore and BreechBoy.

After performing only a hand full of shows, the band have taken audiences by storm with a show that powerfully brings together the worlds of traditional ceremony and dance with contemporary Hip Hop. The message and music this young crew is creating proves they have an exciting future, so be sure you catch them next time they show up to drop their magic.
INDIGENOISE will be performing selected shows this October, November and December including multiple bill events in QLD, the multi-faceted celebration of Island Culture, the Island Vibe Festival, the Jungle Love Music and Arts Festival in QLD and the Dragon Dreaming Festival in NSW.
The band will also be performing shows around the country celebrating the 20-year Anniversary of HydrofunkRecords, who are celebrating with a bunch of shows around the country this coming November.
Showcasing the best of the past and the present from the Hydrofunk family, the tour which takes in Brisbane, Byron Bay, Melbourne and Sydney will include performances from a bunch of artists including their newest project Indigenoise and the labels first signing Resin Dogs.
The Brisbane and Byron Bay parties will feature a number of artists on the bill including Hydrofunk’s first Japanese signing Uhnellys, with each act’s performance highlighting the incredible expanse of Hydrofunktalent. The Sydney and Melbourne dates will feature a stellar 4 band line-up, and all shows will see special guests performing with Resin Dogs and feature guest MC’s.
